Join our educators as we journey through rocky shores, sandy beaches, seagrass meadows and the deep blue ocean to find out where marine creatures live and why these habitats are so important.

Children will explore how different animals survive in their underwater homes, where they find food, how they stay safe from predators and the special features that help them thrive in the ocean. Through hands-on activities, games and investigations, students will uncover the fascinating connections between marine animals and their habitats.

This engaging program encourages curiosity, exploration and environmental stewardship while helping children develop a deeper understanding of the amazing habitats found along South Australia's coastline.

Entry to the South Australian Whale Centre exhibits is included in the education session cost for each child attending.

A 45-minute guided tour of the South Australian Whale Centre, led by an experienced marine educator, can be added to the experience for an additional $5 per child. Students will explore the exhibits and discover the incredible marine animals and habitats that make our local oceans so special.
