Aldinga reef has been protected since 1972 and is home to an abundance of marine life. If you can't get in the water to see the beautiful fish, algae and other animals, join us for a beachcombing session to unravel the mysteries washed up on the beach.
We will discover the wonders of the sea by combing the beach for sea-treasure! Our experienced guides will help you decipher what you find washed ashore and tell you all about life under the sea!
This session is sponsored by National Parks and Wildlife Services.
Meet at the shelter at Snapper Point at 9:30am. We will walk down to the beach together and look for treasures!
Tongs and trays to collect items for sorting and identification will be provided.
Please wear closed-toe, soft shoes for walking on the reef and bring a sun hat and sunscreen.
Parents will need to stay with their child if aged under 12 years.
We will not be swimming during the session.
