The Grubs Up! education session is a long-standing favourite at the South Australian Whale Centre. Students develop an understanding of whale features, physiology and behaviour. Children engage in hand-on investigations to explore the differences between toothed and baleen whales, particularly how they eat.
Entry to the Whale Centre exhibits is included in the education session cost for each child in attendance. Maximum 30 students per session.
This program is excellent for Yrs3-6.
A 45 minute Guided Tour of the Whale Centre by an experienced whale and dolphin educator can be added to the experience for an additional $5 per child.
